From Impossible to Inevitable: The only practice that matters is the one you consistently do

When it comes to doing anything, the road to greatness isn't through struggle, hardship, or luck. It's not through skill or talent. The road to greatness is through consistency.

When we think of everything that we have done, the things we are good at, great at, is the thing we do consistently. Our routine, our baseline, default, that thing we don't even consider a process or habit, or even think about, we are exceptional at.

There are so many people teaching us systems, processes, roadmaps to success? But in truth, all these things will probably not work. Because they are individual roadmaps that worked for them. We are all different. We sadly have to find and create our own paths in life because we are all one of a kind. It's our uniqueness that requires customization towards greatness.

It always seems impossible until it's done. - Nelson Mandela

The only thing that is consistent with getting you to your destination is moving forward. The consistency might not be a straight line. But if it doesn't involve continually moving forward, taking steps, strides, however large or small, you will never get to your desired destination.

Success isn't always about greatness. It's about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come. - Dwayne Johnson

I keep telling myself that I will do the task, I will start when I get this item or move to that location. But in truth, I'm lying to myself. Because to get there requires taking a step and consistently moving forward to that goal until it becomes automatic. It has nothing to do with our place in the world or the gear we think we need. Achieving your goal hinges on consistency.

The only practice that matters is the one you consistently do. Not the most efficient, successful by other people's experiences or options, but the one you do on a regular basis. That's the only practice that matters. Start now, however small, and keep going, however little that movement is. Even a drop of water can turn a mountain into a valley; it just takes time and consistency.
