Why I do it

l1004718

It’s a creative addiction. Yes, I’m addicted to my camera, so much so that my partner says it’s my better half instead of her. I take my camera with me everywhere. Now, just because I have a camera with me all the time, doesn’t make me a better photographer. What it does do tho is give me a higher percentage chance of capture, then let’s say, someone who left their camera at home. I’m addicted to my craft, I love it some much it’s closer to me than my cell phone. Continue reading article →

The road to success is filled with no

l1004538

Not the most positive title for a post I know. But I’m one of those people who doesn’t like to sugar-coat everything. I’m not going to butter you up just to through you to the dogs. So why is the road to success fill with no. It’s filled with no because there are so many people that don’t like taking uncalculated risks. People don’t like betting on a horse that doesn’t have a track record… you and me. Why would they risk their own reputation on you, when there are already so many safer options they’ve used before. You have to take your time, slow down and consider the photo. Getting that perfect moment because your camera can’t take a sequence of images, which I believe lazy people do to get their safety shot. For me, I like taking my time when composing a photo. Less trigger happy, more slow, methodical and precise. Continue reading article →

What would you do if you won lotto

tumblr_ma4uxbm2A71rrtxx0o1_1280

Would you keep doing what your doing. Think about it, hypothetically. If you no longer needed to worry about making an income, what would you spend the rest of your life doing? What productive thing do you like doing? What is that one thing you would pay to do? Eat at the finest restaurants, go on week long hikes? Go horse riding? Document back stage at fashion week? What would you like to do so much you’d pay someone else to be able to experience it for yourself. Continue reading article →

80/20

l1005251I was being counter productive this evening after I opened my new package of platinum chemicals i received in the mail today. What I mean by being counter productive was that I was sitting down watching YouTube on the TV. With some like inspiration struck me thou, I stumbled upon some great advice. That advice was, You should try and write every day. Blog as much as you can, be it ideas, thoughts, beliefs, anything. Because even if no one reads your blog, at very least you have an archive of all your thoughts and ideas. An archive of liner time, of all your thoughts, ideas and your journey through life.
